Due to a single post on platform X, Elon Musk, the tech billionaire, caused a stir among cryptocurrency enthusiasts, especially among XRP supporters. What did he write?
Elon Musk, the renowned tech billionaire, once again excites the cryptocurrency environment. His recent entry on the social platform X, formerly known as Twitter, regarding the “Community Notes” feature was warmly received, especially among fans of the XRP cryptocurrency.
The “Community Notes” feature, which Musk refers to, allows for the addition of extra information below posts on app X, correcting them if they are misleading. This gives users direct access to information sources about a specific message.
Musk highlighted that “Community Notes” will now appear under entries on platform X much faster. In response to this post, many cryptocurrency-themed accounts didn’t hesitate to express their opinions in the comments. Among them were the well-known XRP supporter @XRPcryptowolf, David Gokhshtein, and many others who engaged in a discussion about the feature introduced by Musk.

That wasn’t Musk’s only interaction with the crypto world that day. An earlier post about a more accessible version of Tesla’s Model Y also received a lively response. Several cryptocurrency enthusiasts, including the Safepal cryptocurrency wallet and Shiba Inu marketing expert Lucie, proposed buying a Tesla using cryptocurrencies. Lucie, who supports the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency and is a member of its team, expressed a desire to pay in SHIB mem-coins.
Last October, Musk used his company, The Boring Company, to launch a limited edition collector’s item – a perfume called “Burnt Hair”. This product was available for purchase with both traditional money and cryptocurrencies. It could be paid for in Shiba Inu, Dogecoin, and many other cryptocurrencies supported by the BitPay payment processor. In reality, both Tesla and SpaceX currently accept Dogecoin as payment for their products. In 2021, Tesla even accepted Bitcoin for its electric cars for several months.
However, Musk later decided to withdraw this option, citing environmental concerns related to Bitcoin mining. He announced that Tesla would once again accept BTC when at least 50% of the mining begins using renewable energy sources. According to Michael Saylor, a Bitcoin evangelist and CEO of giant MicroStrategy, this milestone was achieved in 2021. However, Tesla has not yet resumed accepting Bitcoin payments.
It must be acknowledged that Elon Musk’s posts still have a significant impact on the crypto world. His opinions and comments often lead to significant market changes, confirming his position as one of the major influential players in the industry.
